What is market research conducted by A+A?
Market research involves interviewing healthcare professionals and patients to understand their needs and help healthcare companies develop appropriate solutions. In this context, A+A processes personal data in compliance with applicable regulations and the professional codes of market research companies (ICC/ESOMAR, EphMRA, BHBIA, etc.).
What rules apply to A+A?
A+A processes personal data in accordance with the applicable regulations, including the GDPR, and with the applicable contractual rules. Good Pharmacovigilance Practices (GVP), which apply exclusively to Marketing Authorization Holders (MAHs), do not apply to A+A.
Why have I received an email about the deletion of personal data from a market research?
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of April 27, 2016, on the protection of personal data (commonly known as the “GDPR”), personal data must be retained only for the period strictly necessary for the purpose of the processing in question. Beyond this period, they can no longer be kept. If you have received an email from A+A, it means that the retention period for the PV personal data collected as part of this study has expired and that this data must now be deleted.
Can the market research’s personal data be kept beyond the period initially set?
If you have received an email from us, it means that the initial retention period for the PV personal data related to the study—set according to the purpose of the processing—has expired. Consequently, A+A will not retain the data beyond this period. However, if you believe there are duly justified reasons to extend the retention period, you may request additional information, and we may, if necessary, return the study data belonging to you. In such cases, fees will apply. It will then be your responsibility to demonstrate to the competent authorities the GDPR compliance of such an extension.
What do the fees applied for additional information requests and/or data return cover?
To provide you with accurate information to help you make a decision, we need to allocate technical and human resources. These fees are calculated as fairly as possible, based on the resources required.
